About 20 years ago, I started a blog. Like most blogs, it went through periods of greater and lesser activity, but it had a lot of great information on it.
A lot of old information.
A couple of months ago, there was a slip-up and that blog, and all 20-odd years of posts (and some of them were very odd), were deleted. Gone. Kaboom.
Do I have backups? Yes. Somewhere. From some time in the last 5 years or so.
But I’ve decided it’s time to make a clean sweep. Yes, Google will freak out because all of my URLs are suddenly gone, but you know what? I’ll live.
And I get to start over, and do what I’d always intended to do: create something really valuable.
Now, don’t get me wrong: this is not going to be a “one topic/one audience” type of thing. It’s going to be all over the place, mixing technical tutorials with writing tutorials with musing on science fiction with … with whatever I feel like talking about. So if you’re looking for SEO advice, this blog is probably not going to be a good example.
But the one thing that will, I hope, remain constant, is that, at least twice a month (cut me some slack, I’m trying not to overpromise and underdeliver here) you will Learn Something.
So tell me, if you will: what do you want to learn about?
